Optima plans giant-Windpark on Canary Islands in Fuerteventura

Location

In the course of its commitment to Spain, Optima has succeeded in acquiring 3 million square meters of land in Fuerteventura together with the Munich developer Metropolian.

Project development

There are plans for a wind farm that can supply the Canary Island with up to 18 MWh of electricity and a solar field that can generate up to 30 MWh of electricity. As part of the European energy transition, the island, which is currently supplied with diesel power, would receive 25% green electricity. The total investment until 2025 will not be less than € 50 million.
