M8 Work & Create

Hand-over of M8 work & create successfully done

The creative quarter in the Werksviertel is getting another new office quarter.

The M8 Work & Create loft building designed by Oliv Architekten on Mühldorfstrasse with around 16,000 sqm gross floor area was handed over to the buyer Real I.S. AG.

"With an occupancy rate of 100%, we have once again proven that the Munich market is more than sustainable and stable," share the board members of the Optima Group

Dr. Jens and Dr. Ulf Laub. Together with the engineering firm IKR, represented by the brothers Uwe and Thomas Kuschel, the project was completed on time and within budget despite the coronavirus crisis. The purchase price was well over €150 million.

Jochen Schweizer/mydays with its headquarters as well as Brainloop and Think Project, two fast-growing software companies, have moved into M8 as tenants. The ensemble is rounded off by the co-working provider Spaces, which has now started marketing its space.

The loft property has a special gimmick: Jochen Schweizer employees can slide down Munich's longest slide at almost 40 km/h directly from the office to the bistro on the first floor.

The forward sale to Real I.S. AG was arranged by Colliers. Nörr acted as legal advisor to the buyer and Zirngibl Rechtsanwälte as legal advisor to the seller. The lettings were handled by the estate agents Schmidt Immobilien, Igenus, JLL and Cushman & Wakefield.
