Sustainability
Sustainable Development Goals
Our focus
In our business operations, we are guided by the 17 SDGS (Sustainable Development Goals) of the United Nations with a particular focus on topics 5, 9, 11 and 17:
The topic of sustainability and social responsibility has been one of the cornerstones of the Optima-Aegidius Group's corporate culture for some time.
The six ecological goals of "climate protection", "adaptation to climate change", "sustainable use and protection of water and marine resources", "transition to a circular economy, waste prevention and recycling", "prevention and reduction of environmental pollution" and "protection of healthy ecosystems" - formulated by the EU Taxonomy Regulation - play a key role in all business decisions of the Optima-Aegidius Group.
Six ecological goals
Fuerteventura wind power plant
The Optima-Aegidius Group is currently planning the construction of a wind power plant on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura in order to move closer to the goal of affordable and clean energy. This wind farm will supply the island with 30 MWh of electricity and thus support the island's transition from diesel power to green electricity.
LEED Gold certificate
Three of the Group's most recently completed developments with a total area of over 60,000 square meters were awarded LEED Gold certification, and the aim is to achieve at least LEED Gold or Platinum certification for future new-build projects without exception.
Transparency and social commitment
Transparency towards investment and financing partners is a top priority for the Optima-Aegidius Group, whereby care is taken to ensure that reporting during the planning as well as during the development phase of construction projects is designed with full transparency for all stakeholders.
The Optima-Aegidius Group also offers rent-controlled spaces for daycare centers and other social institutions.
The Optima-Aegidius Group not only advertises its commitment to achieving these goals, it also actively undertakes numerous measures to fulfill these intentions. Further information can be found here.
Within the group of companies, we are working on internal optimization processes in the sense of a future-oriented conservation of resources.
