Purchase of W 88

DAt the end of 2011, the Optima Aegidius Group purchased the administrative building of Allianz Versicherungs-AG in Nymphenburg in Munich, with existing floor space of around 6000 m2. The nine-storey high-rise building at Wotanstrasse 88 will still be used by various divisions of Allianz Versicherung in the next three years. In the medium term, Optima directors Dr Ulf D. Laub and Dr Jens Laub are aiming for the renovation of the building or for a new building.

The central location on Romanplatz, the existing underground car park and the view into the gardens of Nymphenburg Palace offer a variety of options that the Laub brothers took into consideration when purchasing the site. "The combination of a well-known tenant for the next three years and the development potential in this location is the perfect basis for an acquisition in the current banking climate. For the combination of housing, offices and retail, the location between the Hirschgarten and the Nymphenburg Palace offers remarkable possibilities, which are to be developed in the coming months.


The Munich branch of CB Richard Ellis took care of the sale of the site within the framework of an auction.
