Philosophy and areas of activity

Our strength lies in identifying projects that show considerable potential for value creation in the German locations that are familiar to us, generally in a countercyclical way. Consequently Detroit was added to to our portfolio in 2015 an New York in 2018.

We have an exceptionally high degree of market knowledge, excellent networks and a well-integrated team that can, within a very short time, provide a valid and sustainable analysis with regard to the evaluation of locations or project ideas.

Our constant presence in Munich and Berlin also guarantees a professional management of real estate that goes far beyond the usual scope.

In the implementation of projects, we are always looking for solutions that increase the location-specific value of a property. It is not without reason that are our properties and developments generally fully let.

In the past 5 years, a total of around € 1 billion was moved around in the area of purchases and sales. 

In addition to real estate projects, the Group has also always had holdings in companies since its foundation. These holdings have been in the food industry, the automotive supplier industry, pusher boat associations, as well as oil mining rights in Canada. The Group currently has a holding in the area of digitalization within the energy sector (www.limejump.com).

Innovative & conservative

Our solutions for providing a property with a sophisticated and innovative utilisation concept which will also generate long-term profit in the respective market are always accompanied by a conservative company policy and elaborate work on the details.

We generally purchase, on our own account, plots of land and properties that will either be absorbed into our assets or sold to investors from Germany or overseas before/after realisation. 

We currently own or manage around 200,000 m2 of residential and office space, with more than 2,000 units under management. 

Previous projects range from residential buildings to the area of logistics and retail, right up to traditional office buildings. 

Countercyclical activities abroad

To diversify the risks, we have selectively targeted foreign markets for 20 years. 

With our activities in Canada, in Toronto and Montreal, it has been possible to regularly compensate for more difficult market phases in Germany in a countercyclical way. 

The Group's portfolio has included several hundred apartments in Toronto, as well as office buildings in Toronto's financial district. The sales to investors such as Blackstone took place at the height of the North American economic boom in 2006, 

Since 2001, we have also attended to the Spanish holiday property market, as an additional business area. Here, our focus is on the Atlantic region, in particular Zahara des los Atunes, a coastal area between Cadiz and Tarifa that is unique in Europe. Hitherto, several golf villas (St Andres Golf) and apartment complexes, some right on the beach, have been realised.

Since 2014 we have engaged ourselves in the North American real estate market, especially Detroit.
